A staple of southern cuisine Okra loves the heat of summer and grows at an amazing rate. Mixed green and burgundy varieties are both delicious and nutritious.

Fried Okra is delcious and a great way to get your kids to eat veggies: Simply chop it into half inch long pieces, dip in Buttermilk, then dredge in a flour and cornmeal mixture and fry (can be cooked in an air fryer too)
